Comar property auction halted with Chapter 7 filing

Article Abstract:

Comar Acquisitions Corp., a Valencia, CA-based fulfillment company, is now involved in a bankruptcy proceeding after a trustee for another bankrupt firm, Positive Power Products, filed an involuntary petition for Chapter 7 bankruptcy against Comar. Under the US bankruptcy code, Chapter 7 indicates a total liquidation of the company. Positive Power, whose fulfillment operations were handled by Comar, reportedly filed the petition to temporarily stop a public auction of all of Comar's assets that was slated on July 1, 1998. The auction was reportedly part of a plan aimed at satisfying Comar's secured creditors, which are claiming on the firm's various holdings.
