Dutch box of tricks

Article Abstract:

The Netherlands' departments of conservation and physical planning have conducted 2 studies to stop the decline of post-war buildings. A set of legal, managerial and financial tools which can be used according to the local environment and individual need has been created. A building stock management strategy was used to allow adoption of different approaches according to different estate layouts, states of repair and tenure and finance. Private owners would be allowed to form an association, establish a renovation trust and create a renovation company to do the work.
