Forrester buys German research firm for $15 million

Article Abstract:

Forrester Research has purchased German Internet company Forit for $15 million. The purchase is seen as the next step in the execution of Forrester's European growth strategy. It bought Fletcher Research in the UK in Nov 1999. It feels that it is in a better position to build a strong presence in the German speaking countries that include Switzerland and Austria. While the new operation's major thrust would be to exploit the German market for Internet research, it intends to market some of the material in English to US and other companies.
