Georgian apartments emulate area's single-family homes

Article Abstract:

The collaboration between developer Martin Fein Interest and Steinberg Collaborative resulted in a successful infill project development in Houston, TX's West University area. Belmont Apartments feature a Georgian architectural style that makes the buildings blend with the neighborhood andexudes an enclosed feel that gives its residents a sense of security. The units, which filled the need for upscale rental apartments, soon reached 100% leasing withn five months and attracted mostly professionals and empty nesters.

Krow Construction (san Diego, CA), builder, has won the Attached Home of the Year Gold Nugget award for its $175,900 plan 3 at La Mirage development based in Aliso Viejo, CA. The 1,538 sq ft building is appealing as the entry to the second-level flats appear to be at ground level, due to landscaping. the building is built in the style of a European village.
