New dry storage facility under way in Nashville

Article Abstract:

A new dry storage facility is being built in Nashville, TN, at a cost of $1 million. The Boat House at Benders Ferry will house 237 boats up to 32 ft in length and will have a separate rack system for storing as many as 80 personal watercraft. James E Varallo, a principal of Boat House, said there is tremendous demand for this type of facility in Nashville. Located on a 3.5-acre lot adjacent to Cedar Creek Yacht Club on Old Hickory Lake, Boat House is scheduled to open on Apr 1, 2001.

Bellingham Marine

Article Abstract:

Bellingham Marine Industries has appointed Mitch Taylor as chairman of the board and Everett Babbitt and Larry Halgren as co-presidents. Taylor led the investor group that bought Bellingham in 1995 while Babbitt has 26 years of sales and production experience, all with the company. On the other hand, Babbitt joined Bellingham in 1980 and has more than 30 years of experience in the marina industry. Prior to his new post, Babbitt was Bellingham's Exec VP for Marketing.

Bellingham expands its Brisbane facility

Article Abstract:

Bellingham Marine, a Bellingham, WA-based manufacturer of floating dock systems, dry boat storage buildings and pontoon systems, has completed the expansion of its manufacturing facilities in Brisbane, Australia. The expansion project includes doubling the enclosed area of the facility to more than 11,000 square feet and installing an electric, three-ton overhead crane system.
