Pre-mature problems with flat roofs, such as leaks or condensation leads to the utilisation of sloped over-roofing. The cost is about 100 pounds sterling per metre squared. Benefits are long-term, especially if free-maintenance materials are used, such as dry ridge, PVCU fascia and PVCU soffit boards. Load is an important consideration. Traditional concrete tiles are heavy compared to continuous sheet roofing, however sheet roof covering has poor wind-resistant characteristics.
