AIM resolutions good first step

Article Abstract:

The Council for Responsible E-Mail of the Assn for Interactive Media (AIM) passed six resolutions that might settle differences between the organization's two factions. Previously, several e-mail companies were thinking of forming their own association after AIM's parent organization, Direct Marketing Assn, refused to discuss opt-out e-mail marketing. The two factions consist of online companies that want AIM to endorse opt-in e-mail and traditional direct marketing companies that are against it.
