Siebel acquisition blends top eBiz, database

Article Abstract:

Direct marketing firms are not concerned at the moment about the news that paper prices could increase by 25% this year. Some catalog firms will not be affected by the price increase since they buy most of their paper through fixed contracts. One catalog firm indicated that they would adjust their circulation according to paper price increases. Paper price increases were attributed to lower production, which was due to the Asian economic crisis and the Japanese recession.
