Trade Only and Soundings fill new advertising post

Article Abstract:

Soundings Publications has appointed Don Schroeder as national sales director for the Soundings Trade Only and Soundings publications. Schroeder will oversee the sales teams for the two publications, reporting directly to publisher Glenn C Mallory. Prior to his appointment, Schroeder was advertising director for the American Woodworker and Pets: Part of the Family magazines. He was also a former advertising director at Canoe magainze and sales leader at Fine Woodworking.

Soundings to publish NMMA show directory

Article Abstract:

Soundings Publications has been selected by the National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) as publisher of its Discover Boating Resource Guide & Show Directory for 2001, 2002 and 2003. The directory is a program for each of the 16 boat shows sponsored by the NMMA as well as containing general boating information. Soundings Publications is the publisher of Soundings, the consumer boating magazine; Soundings Trade Only and Woodshop News.

ABYC taking over Westlawn from NMMA

Article Abstract:

American Boat and Yacht Council (ABYC) has acquired the Westlawn Institute of Marine Technology from the National Marine Manufacturers Association. David Gerr, nationally known yacht designer is appointed as a fulltime director of Westlawn School of Yacht Design.
