The Millennium bug: Software solutions to the year-2000 problem for home computers

Most recent home computers store the century part of the year and should not experience any problems in the year 2000. However software programs relying on dates to work properly will encounter problems. Software programs are available to resolve the year-2000 problems, some of which test computer clocks and others that make necessary adjustments to the clocks. Audit software can detect problems with software. Six software packages were tested, including Check 2000, Data-a-Fix and Millennium Bug Toolkit, and were easy to use.
