Where personal principles meet profit

Article Abstract:

Some British academics may have to choose whether to stand by their beliefs or teach foreign students who are part of a group which oppress other people in their own country. British universities are looking for students from overseas as they will bring in extra funds. It has been recommended the educational institutions should plan a strategy for dealing with difficult ethical issues before they arise. Often overseas students, who have studied in the UK, are keen to buy British goods once they return home. Amnesty International favours talking to overseas students about human rights.
