M64831FP synthesizer ICs
Article Abstract:
Mitsubishi Electric Corp's M64831FP IC performs phase-locked loop frequency synthesis, and accepts fast handover in base station switching. It is compatible with terminals for Japan's Personal Handy Phone System. Use of a decimal-point frequency-division system reduces the device's phase noise to 85dBc/Hz at +2kHz offset. The M64831FP provides a switching speed 20 times faster than conventional products, allowing base station switching with just one PLL. Samples sell for $6.

Kenwood TMI Corp introduces the DAB-3831 test signal generator. The product produces 10 DAB 1/Q signals from 21 kinds of ensemble data, such as hald-sampling, dynamic label, TII and other kinds of data. It serves in quality assurance production lines, generating test signals for DAB receivers and tuners. It also has features that allow recording of ensemble data, step time and context of external input-output.
