Toa Corp has introduced the SR-M3 stage monitor speaker system that can withstand 600W of continuous input for one of the highest ratings in is class. The DP-0206 digital processor performs 20 different signal- processing functions including frequency response equalization and delay. It adopts a 38cm-diameter woofer and a tweeter using a titanium diaphragm. It comes in two versions, the M3R for installation on the right and the M3L for placement on the left. The stage monitor speaker system sells for $2,037.

Yamaha has introduce the YSS901 LSI line of digital audio IC, which uses stereo Dipole technology to reproduce three-dimensional sound fields from two speakers. The YSS901 features virtual sound-source creation through the use of head-related transfer function and digital filter processing methods. It works with virtual Dolby for the 5.1-channel Dolby Digital sound and with 3-D audio systems. The YSS901 also features built-in two- channel analog-digital and digital-analog converters.

Nihon Kaiheiki Industrial Co Ltd's GW paddle locker switch features an innovative design which results in reliability in the switching mechanism and a unique operating sensation. The unit combines a coil spring, a sliding rod and switching plate. The mechanisms are available in red, white or gray, with P, H or V terminals. The mechanisms utilize round- headed pins for the contact unit. Prices are Y150 ($1.34) for single-pin models and Y130 ($1.16) for dual-pin models.
