VPL-CS2 data projectors
Article Abstract:
Sony has introduced the VPL-CS2 LCD projector with SVGA-quality images at 600 lumens. The VPL-CS2 features a 0.7-in LCD system and sells for 348,000 yen or $3,222. Sony has also unveiled the VPL-CX1 XGA-mode projector, the VPL-CS10 SVGA-mode projector and the VPL-CX10 XGA-mode projector. The VPL- CX1 delivers XGA images while the VPL-CS10 and the VPL-CX10 use 0.9-in LCDs. The VPL-CS2 and the VPL-CX1 have B5 footprints and weigh about 2.9 kg.

TDP-B3J, TDP-S1J projectors
Article Abstract:
Toshiba has introduced the TDP-B3J XGA-mode projector and the TDP-S1J SVGA-mode projector with an output of 1,000 lumens and 400:1 contrast ratios. The TDP-B3J comes with a 0.9-in Digital Micromirror Device with a 120W Ultra High Power lamp. It uses a Digital Video Interface, allowing a single cable to carry analog, digital and Universal Serial Bus signals. On the other hand, the TDP-S1J comes with a 0.7-in DMD and a 270W metal halide lamp.
