On heat

Article Abstract:

The versatility of electric heating offers many sales opportunities for installers. Electricians access properties for many different reasons and this provides the opportunity to advise on improvements, such as heating upgrades, with many people unaware of the availability of a wide range of modern energy-efficient electric systems. There is a potential market for the replacement of old storage heaters with modern, slimmer heaters, including automatic fan storage heaters. Other sales can be made in the commercial sector, including space heating products.

Trailer sparks

Article Abstract:

Caravan sites in the UK are required to be licensed under the Caravan Site and Control of Development Act 1960. Such licenses remain in force until they are withdrawn but they do require a yearly certification inspection of the site's electrical installation. An overview of points to consider when carrying out electrical inspections is presented, including earthing systems and circuit protection, overhead lines and caravan pitch socket outlets.
