The supply chain

Article Abstract:

Newey and Eyre is just one of many electrical wholesalers who are reorganising the way they handle and distribute supplies, millions of pounds being invested in new computerised systems. Trade Service Information, formerly Luckins, are increasingly using computers in the continuous price updating that is necessary. The new UK standard BS 5750 for quality systems is having an impact in this area, very many suppliers wanting to be accredited. Even packaging is being revised by suppliers in their efforts to cope with the cutthroat competition in the modern marketplace.
