Type 6227 modular solenoid valve systems
Article Abstract:
Burkert Contromatic Corp has released the Type 6227 modular solenoid valve system for use with either 1/2-in or 3/4-in pipes. The valves make up a modular extendable valve system that can be combined in a number of combinations with up to twelve valves in a single valve manifold. Each valve may be assembled in the 'collecting' or 'distributing' function by twisting the valve insert. Numerous valve port connections are available as standard features.

Valve offers four flow patterns
Article Abstract:
Asahi/America Inc's CrossPortBall Valve's design allows multiple flow patterns due to the crossed flow corridors within the ball. To achieve up to four patterns, operators only need to simply turn the handle to four different positions. The CrossPortBall Valve is available in sizes from 1/2 inch to 2 inches and made from PVC, CPVC, PP and PVDF. It is suitable for handling highly-corrosive liquids.

Valve/damper actuator is failsafe
Article Abstract:
Kinetrol USA has started offering the Kinetrol quarter-turn electric actuator. The actuator, which utilizes a simple integrated spring unit that works closely with an electro-hydraulic vane actuator, eliminates the need for backup batteries, air or gas when main power sources fail. In addition, the actuator, which can be used in remote sites, has a 100% duty cycle rated motor as standard.
