New companies are entering the biodiesel industry

Article Abstract:

The problems associated with producing biodiesel as alternative fuel by North American Biofuel Corporation (NABFC), thus replacing petrol, are described. While NABFC would only involve in production of biodiesel, the distribution would be handled by oil companies who can blend the product into various biodiesel grades of B5, B10, and B20, thus increasing the use of biodiesel in more vehicles.

Landfills expand energy output

Article Abstract:

Landfill gas energy (LFGE) projects have good prospects of investment, as LFGE provides an alternate energy source at stable price and also reduces emissions of methane. LFGE projects generate about 9 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity annually, and roughly about 200 million cubic feet per day of LFG for direct use in boilers and other facilities.
