Article Abstract:

Asociacion Nacional Pro Personas, an organization headquartered in California and founded by Carmela Lacayo provides programs of employment and training, health, housing, and economic development to Hispanics ages 55 and older. While the organization formed in 1975 as on 2004 aims to provide training and employment as the principal activities, it employs about 2,000 senior Hispanics as administrative workers, librarians, and healthcare workers through grants from the Department of Labor and other government agencies.

The retail challenge: Selling variety yields healthy growth

Ideal System Solutions Inc., a Minnesota-based computer retailer hopes to grow by offering customers a variety of services, such as, networking, consulting, integration, and maintenance. Founded in 1996, and having 25 percent commercial sales and 75 percent federal contracting, this firm reported a 27.3 percent revenue increase in 2005 to $ 21 million, and projects a bigger jump to $35 million in 2006.

Gaining higher ground: Hispanics occupying ever-higher levels in the executive suite have raised the bar for the Elite

Article Abstract:

The Hispanic Business Corporate Elite directory, which recognizes the talent pool of Hispanic, recruits and the market potential of Hispanic consumers has reached a high-water mark in 2002 with a total of 928 high-ranking Hispanics in Corporate America. The vanguards of an expanding cadre of Hispanic managerial talent of 20 executives, which are entered in 2006 directory, are presented.
