Planning an expansion into engineered wood?

Article Abstract:

Companies wishing to expand into the engineered wood products sector should consider several strategic issues including the type of technologies needed to enter the market, who the competitors are, and what markets to target. Market shares of structural composite lumbers and other engineered wood products have risen considerably in the past few years up into 1996. The use of green dimension lumber has yielded lower quality products, which has helped drive manufacturers towards engineered wood products.
