Disarming with charm: the Bush method

Article Abstract:

US President George W. Bush makes up for his lack of experience in many areas of government, by not only using charm, but also by working publicly on carefully chosen popular issues. As governor of Texas, Bush chose popular issues and the right people to work with on those issues until he got what he wanted, and the new president will probably stick to his so-called "charm offensive" in Washington.

Bush and Gore as small businessmen

Article Abstract:

Issues are presented concerning the business enterprises of presidential candidates Al Gore and George W. Bush. The difficulties of Al Gore's tenants and the environmental pollution caused by George W. Bush's dry cleaning business are discussed.

George W. Bush and the California GOP

Article Abstract:

The Republican Party in California is at a low ebb in 2001 with only one Republican holding office in the State. The election of George W. Bush seemed positive, but his attitude to the State's energy crisis has not helped the Party.
