HTLV - 1 encoded p30(super II) is a post - transcriptional negative regulator of viral replication

Article Abstract:

Human T - cell leukemia / lymphoma virus Type's (HLTV) nuclear resident protein, HLTV - 1 - encoded p30(super II) restricts the viral replication by the post - transcriptional mechanism. The HLTV - 1 - encoded p30(super II) is a nuclear-resident protein that binds to, and retains in the nucleus, the doubly spliced mRNA encoding the Tax and Rex proteins.

An innately interesting decade of research in immunology

Article Abstract:

The adaptive response remains a substantial focus of emmunological research that the past decade has seen a renewal of interest in the other components of defense. Based on the insights into the foundation of resistance to infectious disease, Metchnikof was awarded the 1908 Nobel Prize in Physiology or medicine together with Paul Ehrlich.

Natural killer T cells and CD[8.sup.plus] T cells are dispensable for T cell-dependent allergic airway inflammation

Article Abstract:

Studies were conducted to examine the role of various T-cell populations in the development of allergic airway inflammation (AAI). The findings show that CD[4.sup.plus] are sufficient to mediate AAI but NKT cells and CD[8.sup.plus] T cells have minimal role if any in its pathogenesis.
