ISAs

Article Abstract:

People considering investing in the newly launched Individual Savings Accounts (ISAs) are warned they may incur unforeseen administration charges because investment firms are failing to follow guidelines on charges set out by the government. The ISAs tax free scheme was launched in April 1999 and is specifically targeted at people who do not save on a regular basis. Nurses are advised to invest in schemes which offer higher rates of return.

Insurance

Article Abstract:

Garage parking and being a female nurse can add to the discount given by insurers when nurses seek car insurance. Living in London can mean a hefty premium increase because of street parking and crime. Insurance companies may take into account the professional status of nurses, although student nurses find their premiums the same as other students. Choosing a pre-arranged excess cover will also reduce premiums on insurance cover.
