Informal networking

Article Abstract:

Firms faced with rising technological development requires to have an informal form of networking in order to keep abreast with important technological breakthroughs and innovations. Setting up linkages with outside sources, such as business conferences and exhibitions, is important among organizations to gain technological know-how vital to operational success. Formation of a cooperative environment while maintaining secrecy also helps in the effective sharing of technological information. The degree of informal networking, however, greatly depends on the technological intensity of a firm and the efficiency of its research and development programs.
