Article Abstract:

Ofcom presented a report that highlights the need for more original programming from UK producers across a range of genres targeted to children, which only makes up 17% of kids hours. The government and the broadcasting industry should act on the issue to save kids TV, which is facing several withdrawals from broadcasters. A discussion of the state and future of kids TV is given.
