The Marine Corps' new plan, called distributed operations (DO), requires purchase of new gear and might have a significant impact on how the Corps recruits its Marines, trains them and maps their career. The advantages of using distributed operations that creates a rapidly deteriorating, cascading effect on the enemy are discussed.

Attack platform: Sea basing could render reluctant allies irrelevant

Article Abstract:

Pentagon is working on a strategy to build military forces at sea, which would permit direct assaults on inland objects and capture seaports later. The U.S. military feels that this strategy will be very critical for them in future, hence they are working to exploit the utility of operating from the maritime domain.

Bright idea: Sabrelight measures up to military demands

Article Abstract:

The Pelican Sabrelight has a specially designed light emitting diodes (LEDs), bulb and the Pelican-designed Recoil system that produces light with an impressive range and brightness. The bulb of the Sabrelight has a burn life of 10,000 hours at 35 lumen and cost of this Pelican product is around $69.95 dollars.
