EADS flight tests Typhoon AESA radar

Article Abstract:

EADS Defense Electronics (Ulm, Germany) have disclosed at the ILA 2006 air show in Berlin that initial flight tests, with active electronically scanned array (AESA) radar designed to equip the German-Italian-Spanish-UK Euro-fighter Typhoon aircraft, were successful. Dr. Elmar Compans, head of the company's sensors department stated that the AESA fighter radar would be able to simultaneously perform search, track, datalink, synthetic aperture radar imaging and other functions.

Atlas fields fully integrated WECDIS/CMS

Article Abstract:

Atlas Elektronik (Bremen, Germany) has, for the first time on a surface combatant, installed a warship electronic chart display information system (WECDIS) in a configuration that is fully integrated with the ship's combat management system (CMS) in 2006. The system was installed on board the Royal Thai Navy's (RTN's) two new 1,440-tonne offshore patrol vessels (OPVs) HTMS Pattani (511) and Naratiwat (512) of the Chinese-built Pattani class.

Atlas Elektronik team makes FAST progress on developing UK unmanned minesweeper

Article Abstract:

The article discusses the Flexible Agile Sweeping Technology that would undergo demonstration trials undertaken by Atlas Elektronic in early 2009. The trials are to highlight the technical maturity of projected new unarmed surface vehicles (USV) - based intelligence minesweeping capability.
