Flashpoint: 'Bloody April'

Article Abstract:

The clashes throughout Iraq in April 2004 claimed the lives of many American troops. The 1st Cavalry Division has taken the responsibility for the Baghdad area from the 1st Armored Division (1AD) and 2nd Armored Cavalry Regiment (2ACR) and it is engaged in a series of clashes throughout the city and the surrounding towns.

The National D-Day Memorial gets a hometown

Article Abstract:

The National D-Day Memorial has been erected in the small town of Bedford, Virginia. Bedford itself had one of the highest per capita casualty rates during World War II, and the memorial is dedicated to all who took part in Operation Overlord.
