France's new MINREM intelligence-gathering vessel launched

Article Abstract:

France new intelligence-gathering vessel Dupuy de Lome that hosts platform for MINREM (Moyen Interarmees Naval de Recherche Electromagnetique) joint forces electronic intelligence suite is launched from the Delfzijl shipyard of Royal Niestern Sander in the Netherlands. Thales Naval France was awarded a contract worth more than $118 million by the Delegation Generale pour I' Armement in December 2001 to build and outfit the Dupuy de Lome.

DCN wins fleet support contract

Article Abstract:

France's state-owned shipbuilding and engineering group DCN has won a EUR116.7 million contract to maintain 10 of the French Navy's ships over a three-year period. The contract covers routine maintenance, associated logistics, engineering, infrastructure, and also ensures improved service and performance of the ships.

DCN sees BPC delivery to French Navy as launch pad for international sales

Article Abstract:

The prime contractor DCN delivered the second of two Batiments de Projection et de Commandement (BPC) multipurpose amphibious ships for the French Navy in March 2007. DCN views the delivery of the Mistral class ship as the beginning of several prospective export sales for BPC variants across the globe.
