Image is everything: What kind of first impression do you want to make

Article Abstract:

Misinformation, based on inaccurate reports from unauthorized media personnel, is undermining the efforts of the coalition forces, especially in Iraq. The presence of an onsite public affairs team or a mobile public affairs detachment (MPAD) for combat operations is recommended to provide images of the successes of the Marine Corps in operations, thus preventing misinformation.

Political correctness

Article Abstract:

The over frankness of the Marines Corps, whose implementation for the public relations, would weaken the Corps as a result. This shows that there is a short supply of common sense among the Marines, for which the leaders should be encouraged to be actual and to the point.

Why not Afghanistan?

The real war in Afghanistan may be over but increased insurgency attacks are a worrying factor, thus the article looks at the role of the Marine Corps.
