South Africa considering extra corvettes

Article Abstract:

The Chief of South African Navy (SA Navy), Vice Admiral Robert Simpson-Anderson has announced that his country is planning to acquire more corvettes. The number of ships to be ordered and the schedule of the follow-on order was not revealed. The SA Navy has six strike craft only three of which are operational. It is expected that the order would be for three or four corvettes and this would also require an additional follow-on order for naval helicopters.
