Norwegian air power modules plan to trade weight for deployability

Article Abstract:

The Royal Norwegian Air Force's (RNoAF's) unveils its concept of M2N (mobile, modular and network-centric) thus, depicting its efforts to become effective, efficient provider of deployable air power modules for expeditionary, international crisis response operations. The M2N steps plans include the development of a special operations forces air wing; the conversion of shelter-based air defense and air-control systems into lightweight units.

The three air arms of the French forces has powerful capabilities and are more versatile than even their air forceEs long-standing friendly rival, the UK Royal Air Force. France also has a deployable joint forces air component center, which is seen as a potential leader of a combined operation by European air forces.
