Submarines for world navies' requirements

Article Abstract:

Professor Yuri N. Kormilitsin, General Designer of conventional submarines at RUBIN Central Design Bureau for Marine Engineering at St. Petersburg, speaks about the brand new LADA-class 'Saint Petersburg' of the Russian Navy submarines and also about the AMUR-class in export versions. He describes that RUBIN develops submarines that have all the necessary means on board to fulfill the modern roles of the submarine required by the customer.

The GCC navies today and tomorrow

Article Abstract:

The formation of the Gulf Co-operation Council (GCC) by the six Persian Gulf states of Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates of the Arabian Peninsula, to co-ordinate, integrate and cooperate amongst the member states in all the fields is reported. The naval capabilities and developments among the six Persian Gulf States of the GCC are not uniform but modernization has started in all the states.

Romanian and Bulgarian Navies: Acclimating to NATO standards

Article Abstract:

Romania and Bulgaria are undergoing massive structural changes in their Navies to achieve interoperability with other NATO Navies. The restructuring is effected through second hand buys and both countries also have plans to replace old assets in the medium and long term by new buildings.
