Sweden launches amphibious craft project, buys Coast Guard vessels

Article Abstract:

The Swedish Defense Procurement Agency is developing a new class of small amphibious vessel, designated Stridsbat Ny, that provides fire support in transit to landing zones by means of the SSG-120 Advanced Mortar System (AMOS) built by Patria Hagglunds. The Swedish Coast Guard has signed a contract with Damen Shipyard in the Netherlands for two multipurpose vessels that would be built at Damen's Galati Shipyard in Romania.

Small arms and machine gun category of the Marine Corps of the United States is presented with details of each of the weapons and its features. These include M2 .50. Caliber Heavy Barreled machine gun, M14 Designated Marksman Rifle (DMR), M16A2 5.56mm rifle, and M16A2 Squad Advanced Marksman (SAM) 5.56mm rifle.

Air-to-air missiles

Article Abstract:

AIM-54 Phoenix, AIM-120 Advanced Medium-Range Air-to-Air Missile (AMRAAM), AIM-9 Sidewinder, AIM-7 Sparrow are the part of the air-to-air missile program of the United States Navy. AIM-54 Phoenix was retired form the Navy in 2004 after 30 years of service.
