The echoes of Anaconda

Article Abstract:

Operation Anaconda, a March 2002 battle against Taliban and Al Qaeda fighters in the mountains of Afghanistan, has remained a source of friction between United States airmen and soldiers. A US Air Force report released in February 2005 reveals that Anaconda became the impetus for the services to revise everything from equipment and training for ground controllers to component command relationships at the highest levels.

Dien Bien Phu: The great 1954 battle sucked US airmen into Indochina and helped set the stage for the Vietnam War

Article Abstract:

The American airpower assistance to the French introduced the America in the war that set a stage for the Vietnam War in 1954, with the battle of Dien Bien Phu, an isolated town in northern Vietnam. Details of the great 1954 battle in which the United States Air Force played a major role are discussed.

Article Abstract:

Adm. Isoroku Yamamoto was the man behind the surprise attack on the US military operation, Pearl Harbor that was meant to annihilate the US Pacific Fleet. By April 18, 1943, Yamamoto was dead, killed on the direct order of his US counterpart, Adm. Chester W Nimitz.
