Buffett may buy back Berkshire shares

Article Abstract:

Berkshire Hathaway founder and legendary investor Warren Buffett said that he is considering buying back shares of Berkshire because their value has declined so precipitously. Buffett also reaffirmed his commitment not to invest in technology stocks. He has never bought back Berkshire shares nor disclosed his estimate of Berkshire's intrinsic value. The value of Berkshire stock is slightly higher than its 1999 year-end book value of $37.987 a share, which PaineWebber analyst Alice Schroeder said has not been that low when compared with the company's book value since 1983.
