Gunpowder plots

Article Abstract:

Land in Enfield, England, is being developed for commercial use, with a 80,000 sq ft industrial site being built in Morrison Avenue and a nearby 45 acre business park under construction. Many distribution enterprises are moving into the area due to its good road links. The former Ministry of Defence land at Waltham Abbey is being redeveloped to serve a variety of differing functions. Commercial development is planned on a 47.9 acre area, whilst a golf course and some housing is planned for 28.4 acres of the land. The area was the former location of a gunpowder mill dating back to 1561.
