The UK property industry needs to make more extensive use of IT in its marketing work. Viral marketing, in which e-mail recipients are encouraged to forward website connections to their networks, has hardly been used at all, and property companies have also failed to exploit internet-based tools for undertaking client satisfaction surveys.
