A great tide of humanity is washed away, leaving only the old behind

Article Abstract:

The Macedonian authorities have cleared the extremely large camp for ethnic Albanian refugees from Kosovo, Yugoslavia, at Blace, on the Macedonian border with Kosovo. Armed police and soldiers removed the refugees from the camp extremely rapidly, giving them no information about where they were being taken. The refugees were forced to leave behind many of the few possessions they had been able to bring with them from Kosovo. The only refugees who now remain in the camp are the frail and elderly.
