Desperately seeking Siouxsie
Article Abstract:
It is flattering to be imitated, according to punk singer Siouxsie Sioux, formerly with the Banshees. However, she feels that those who imitate her will eventually find their own way of expressing themselves. Her image was developed from a feeling of needing to rebel against the conventional image of women. She is still opposed to the way in which women in the music industry are still often judged by their appearance instead of by their talent.
