Rebel leader says he will disarm for Nato troops

Article Abstract:

Ali Ahmeti, leader of the National Liberation Army, Macedonia's ethnic Albanian rebels, indicates that his men will give up their weapons to Nato troops as agreed. However, this will only happen in direct proportion to how much of the peace deal has been implemented.

The European Union is attempting to organize a peace deal between Macedonia and Albanian rebels in the country. There has been ethnic cleansing of Macedonians, and civil war is feared.
