Cleaning up: environmental efficiency makes sound business sense

Article Abstract:

Engineering firms which have a strong environmental policy believe that the reward for such commitment is generally beneficial. They hope that the investment will provide a payback in the future, even if the short-term rewards are less tangible. Peter Brotherhood, a gas compressor and turbine maker, sees its recent award of the ISO14001 environmental management standard as a natural development of its long-standing commitment to the environment and expects that future customers will make demands about the efficiencies of companies' environmental processes.
