Energy dissipation in multichromophoric single dendrimers

Article Abstract:

Single-molecule spectroscopy of well-chosen dendritic multichromophoric systems allows investigation of fundamental photophysical processes such as energy or electron transfer in much greater detail than the respective ensemble measurements. In the presence of an electron donor, reversible electron transfer could be observed, and the rate constant of forward and backward electron transfer is established.

Peptide dendrimers as artificial enzymes, receptors, and drug-delivery agents

Article Abstract:

Divergent synthesis on solid support alternating proteinogenic [alpha]-amino acids with branching diamino acids, producing peptide dendrimers with molecular weight of 3 - 5 kDa is used to choose a modular design. Colchicine displayed high toxicity and the glycopeptide dendrimers conjugated to colchicine selectively inhibited the proliferation of targeted cells.
