UK needs to invest more in micro technologies

Article Abstract:

Nanotechnology is not being fully exploited by the UK despite the government's Technology Foresight program. Although funding exists for some key technologies, nanotechnology is currently not among government priorities. These findings were reported in the Parliamentary Office of Science and Technology report released in Nov 1996. Thus, UK government must invest more in the micro technology, which is predicted to be vital to economic competitiveness and quality of life in the near future.
