Holiday invitations: deciding where to go and what to avoid

Article Abstract:

A divorced parent may find it difficult to decide whether or not to accept invitations from adult children to spend Thanksgiving holidays with them. The fact that their ex-spouses and in-laws will be present during the affairs certainly makes saying yes a hard thing to do.

The first year of being single, after the death of a spouse or a divorce, can help a person place his priorities and plans for the future in perspective. The second year is the time for the plans and priorities to be enacted, giving a person a chance to live a new life.
