Magnesium intake from food and supplements is associated with bone mineral density in healthy older white subjects

Article Abstract:

The relation between magnesium intake and bone mineral density in aged men and women is examined. It is shown that greater magnesium intake increases bone mineral density in whites, whereas in blacks, there is practically no relation between magnesium intake and bone mineral density.

Article Abstract:

The clinical findings identifying the negative and positive effects of increased fluid intake on quality of life in reasonably healthy elderly men from the age group of 55 to 75 are discussed.
