An experimental methodology for estimating Hispanic residents for states and counties

Article Abstract:

The Hispanic population of states and counties in the US can be estimated using an experimental technique that utilizes demographic information. Postcensal data on school enrollment, birth and death are used to compute for total population while age, sex and race distribution estimates are made using decennial censuses. Statistical computations involving the Hispanic population in Florida confirm the validity of this methodology.

Stable racial integration in the contemporary United States: an empirical overview

Article Abstract:

Stable racial integration is measured in neighborhoods to help determine the extent of racial integration in the United States. Neighborhoods integrated with black and white residents are less likely to be stable than more homogeneous neighborhoods, but that factor has become increasingly stable since the 1980s.
