Exploring the 'limits to growth' in UK organics: Beyond the statistical image

Article Abstract:

The philosophy and practice of organic farming has taken more importance in European agriculture due to the concern for food quality and agro ecology. The newly emerging markets in organics are differentiated and volatile and have tendencies to severely reduce the capture of value by the farm or the rural locality.

Foxing the nation: the economic (in)significance of hunting with hounds in Britain

Article Abstract:

Issues discussed concern the political and economic aspects of hunting wild animals with dogs in Britain. Research presented suggests the pro-hunting sector's predictions of economic losses from the banning of hunting have been largely unsubstantiated.
