Kahane in America: an excercise in right-wing urban terror

Article Abstract:

The author seeks to determine if the activities of Rabbi Meir Kahane and the Jewish Defense League in the United States, between 1968 and 1972, described Jewish American-defined terrorism. Though American Jews held initially ambivalent feelings towards Kahane, many became able to identify with the sentiment of his message, fearing a possible repetition of the Holocaust in the U.S. and in the Soviet Union.
