Psychoactive substance use: some associated characteristics

Article Abstract:

A sample of 946 males and 933 females from different universities in Bogota, Colombia, were examined to determine the frequency of self-reported psychoactive substance use history, possible risk factors of minor central nervous system injury or dysfunction associated disorders, and cognitive-type symptoms in self-reported substance users. Only 3.4% of the sample reported taking psychoactive substance use for a period longer than one month. The study found that users were more prone to problems outlined above.
